Friends of Governor Dick (FoGD) is an independent community of dedicated volunteers committed to preserving and enhancing Governor Dick. Our primary focus is halting destructive harvest practices and restoring sites of past harvests. We also prioritize expanding efforts to support the park’s operations staff. Possible opportunities include invasive weed removal, tree planting, kid-friendly programs, and more. Additionally, we provide monetary support for special projects. In addition to directing funds to support the park, there are also operational costs for our group, e.g. website domain and hosting fees, printing costs for promotional materials like brochures and flyers, and expenses related to hosting community events. In 2025, we awarded the first annual Scholarship, of $500 to a youth whose work benefitted the park. |
